History of the Teutonic Templar: The Reign of the Council
As Written by Hornet1 and other witnesses
Teutonic Templar
When the loyalists were gathered and we felt we had enough backing, I copied, pasted, and edited the the RSB forum clan layout. Everything needed only minor revisions but the government was what i really took into deep consideration. I wanted the council to be more important in the Templar. The Teutonic Warriors was run by Hybrid and Hollaitzski for the most part. The council did nothing. I wanted to safe-guard the Teutonics from failure incase i had to up and leave the clan for any reason. I designed the government that relied on 7 factions rather than a single dictatorial unit. While the success of this system was extremely iffy, I hoped for the best.
After it was established, the Templar attracted Veterans and new members alike. Hybrid's clan was not yet established and it was invite only which caused problems for some members and impatience for others.
Over time, the Council was established, it's positions filled, and the quest for a smooth operation began. Government had never run smoothly though, for many Council members proved to be uncommitted or perhaps got unlucky in the ways of rules. The new government proved to be a success in the short-time that it was constructed and it consistantly and effectively carried out events, keeping the populace entertained.
After a good start, propaganda flew around. Rumors of a corrupted Hybrid were filling the forums and the attitudes toward the former leader were flaring. A great controversy was formed over Hybrid's "threats" toward the clan. These issues were not as effective as Margz and Treck had been for the sole reason that there was no backing to any threats made. I tried to keep dissension down and the threat of war in the back of the minds of people.
Two vital members had generated themselves as important factors in the development of the new version of the Teutonics. Beauxmc and Dynatsu, two great leaders in different ways helped keep statistics in check, the attitudes calm, and the growth consistant. Beauxmc was a member that strongly believed in effective government and contributions by the clan to its growth and development. Dynatsu was an ambitious member whose original hunger for leadership syphoned into a well directed attempt at an organized military.
Later, the great problem of Ult Hybrid arose again and the issue between Hybrid and Hollaitzski was ignited again. Hybrid accused Hollaitzski of lies, editing of discussions, and general propoganda. The decision was made to keep Hollaitzski in the clan in fear of dissension from a respected member being kicked out from merely Hybrid's opinions. To the avail of the clan and Hollaitzski himself, peace was reached under a meeting of the two former friends. The past was forgiven, and a settling tranquility was now in place of a once bitter situation.
Soon, Golbatx33 precipitated a great strife in the clan. Although ambitious, he proved to be the antithesis of all the clan stood for. Lying to members, borrow without intent of returning, insulting of fellow brothers, and the misuse of root admin abilities all led to clan action against him. He was banned from the clan and "excommunicated" for some time. A new forums was built under the adminship of Hollaitzski and Hornet 1 both as root administrators.
At this time in the clan's history, a great flourish occured. Recruitment was an all time high, the council was shaping and becoming greatly responsible, and attendance was through the roof. Many members had fallen through with financial problems ranging from hacking to borrowing. All problems were dealt with through a mutual love of the clan and each other. Many contributed to helping each victim out, and no member was left untreated. Nationalism for the clan was at an all time high and the Teutonic Templar had finally proved to have enough grit to become greater then any of it's counterparts.
With nationalism came a great movement for Runescape recognition. Many members felt that as a great clan, they should not settle as isolationists. A growing need for reputation and clan-improvement was under way and the ambition and loyalty feeding the movement kept growing stronger.
About two months after the banning of Golbatx33, a tense treaty was signed. Attitudes had subsided, greater subjucts arose, and Golbatx33 was no longer considered an enemy. By most, it was a sign that the clan was growing not only stronger, but that maturity had remained and ignorance from power had not developed.
Soon afterwards, the clan took a deep step into new territory when it was finally declared the the Teutonic Templar would be a private clan. Noone knew what effect this would have, but many supported it on many grounds. Some feared untrustworthy members. Others presumed that a personally invited member would fare better then one that was simply recruited as "another member". Others feared that it would be detrimental in that the clan would suffer a staggering blow in membership numbers. Either way, the decision was cast, and the Teutonics had entered a new phase.
The Military, a once despised and shameful organization within the clan, reached a new pedestal of glory. Under the care of Dynatsu, the military was organized, but not enforced. He stepped down from the position, rightfully and honorably realizing that he could not be a commited General to the Military. The greatly beloved replacement of the General position was Flameman777. Known for his activity and ambition, he was welcomed into the position with open arms. At that point, the Military had started it's transformation from a lowly and ramshackled branch of the clan into a slowly growing corporation that specialized in making Templar out of soldiers.
Soon the summer was underway and the members of the clan had found that they had more time to invest in the daily rigors of clan duty. The summer prophesized a growing period in the clan's life, and the specifics were yet to be discovered.
The clan faltered, wavered, and was close to completely toppling over. The summer months of great prosperity were an empty hope. It was a hope built on the ideals of member committment and abandonment of life. The foremost "leaders" of the clan realized that the system of government was finally taking its toll. A complete duty from council was highly unlikely in a time of year that was so busy back in the real life.
Council was dismantled, rearranged, and implemented as a new entity that would hold great respect and power...but would have less of a demanding event-holding responsibility. Small changes were made, and the clan was once again back on its feet. But the feet were unstable, and a good flow of events was needed to sustain its balance. There were many different event ideas gathered and were soon being conducted as weekly clan events.
This though, is the end of my story. After I came back, helped to fix the clan, and run in again, I drifted out. Formal resignition of Chairman was filed on July 25, approximately 5 months after the Teutonic Templar's formation.
Ruling the clan up to this point was absolutely amazing, and was indeed the longest reign of any leader and the most successful version. The Teutonic Templar is not dead though, because it lives on in the new era. In August, the Teutonic saga will have its 1 year anniversary...marking the point in which Margz69 founded this benevolent clan.
May the Teutonic Templar live forever, and let its history NEVER be forgotten.
Long live the Teutonic Templar!
Hornet 1 - First Chairman of the Teutonic Templar
To our greatest leader of all
With you we will never fall
When fighting by your side
We die with most pride
As you leave us alone
Most of us will cry and mone
As you leave us like old nails
We will rise like furios males...

EXTENUATION
As written by Soladept
After Horent left Beauxmc put together the Chairman Elections and put out the call for canidates. Pulkinnien, Bkgn, Slithroat and Soladept were the canidates.
A few days passed, the votes came in and the new Chairman is now Soladept. As stuff gets organized and Soladept and the Council get to work on improving the clan things look bright for the future.
Then on 08/20/05, I made decision I would forevermore regret. I had gotten greedy due to my misfortunes in the game and I stole the Clans Bank. Shorty afterwards, the Teutonic Templar fragmented.
As written by Hornet 1:
The Teutonic Templar indeed came to an end on August 27th, just about the year university. It was time for this segment of the Teutonic History to come to a close. But history is never gone, and the Teutonic legacy will live on. A Purge compaign was designed by myself and implemented.
The Teutonic legacy will be started once again in the future. Whether it be far or near, noone is to know. When the time is right, however, the Teutonics will be back.
The Teutonic Legacy will survive.
