Microphone Setup for Windows XP

Step 1 - Click on the sound icon in your taskbar OR go to Start > Control Panel > Sound And Audio Properties

Step 2 - This will bring up a familiar screen for many that looks like this. If you do not see any Microphone slider, click on Options > Properties.

Step 3 - Select the Mic box as seen in the picture, click O.K.

Step 4 - Now click Options > Advanced Options to show the Advanced button under Microphone.

Step 5 - Select Microphone Boost so we can hear you better. Now put the slider bar on Mic to about halfway.
